I had a girl that growing up called me fox because of my drawings and fond memories of seeing that red-white tipped blaze flash through the woods and my farmers tan with dark arm tan lines from wearing short selves. And years ago when I was helping pelt (I growed up like the boy on where the Red Fern Grows or Old Yellow in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains) I had a sweat bee land on my arm and I stuck the tip of the knife in my finger swatting at the bee so I am really blood brothers with a coyote. I have a neighbor that says all we have around is coy-dogs and I just put the two tougher. Coy-fox or fo'yote
I put this profile up to keep in touch with my "furry side" but stay too busy to keep it updated like I should and have about given up on reading everyone's posts. I try to respond to the ones that catch my eye and are at the top of the page. Email or comment and I will get back with you if you want me to glance up...I really don't have time to comment like I should and don't be offended. I do check this once in a blue moon ;P I am trying to keep up with too many of these social networking sites and get some sleep as well working from daylight till dark 6 days a week.
Hey...Thanks for your time and friendship. We can never have too many in my book.
I just add folks occasionally with like interests all along from my friend's lists...so far that has worked out good, the ones that like my profile add me and the others go on, no harm done. I would have never found this many good friends if I did not ask. Hey after you get started a lot ask you in return. A few of them have made great fur-iends because odds are out of that many the creme rises to the top. I just figure you can never have too many friends, you can never tell when you might need a helping paw and “you miss 100% of the shots you never take.” - Wayne Gretzky. Also I may go a long time without checking anything but email because I stay busy all the time and really have to do without sleep to keep up with all these social networking sites and sporadically post and comment. But it is worth it if I can help one person out in some little way. Hey, that is why we are all here.
I always thought of myself as pretty normal, at least for a rural good ol' boy. But this net is showing me that this is not the case with much of the world anymore. I haven't quite figured out why I am leaning toward the "furry" side as most do seem somewhat distant because of several different fundamental beliefs (conservative and moderate) but a grain of sand might make a pearl one day. Maybe it is my little way of making a difference in this old world.
Since kindergarten I have kept my notebooks covered with sketches of "cute critters" and doesn't look like I am going to outgrow it. We all need something to give us that “warm fuzzy” feeling inside because sometimes all the blankets in the world can’t warm us up alone. A dog has to be hungry before he will take a bite and in order for his tail to keep wagging high he has to look forward to the reward. Life without a fulfilling purpose can at best gives only scooby snacks that quickly dissolve in your mouth and leave you wanting more.
It’s not the big dogs that run with the in pack but the lone wolf approaching peacefully that gets to drink from the farmer's milk pail. If you are out there howling at the moon but nothing is happening you might be barking up the wrong tree…take care my friends and know that there is always another yote’ out there that hears your yelps. Keep your tail high, nose on the trail and focus ahead to what lies beyond the horizon or you are liable to get snagged by the brier patches of life….I know I have but it is never too late to get the cuckaburs out of your fur.
I am a easy going single Christian pre-vet educated rancher. I enjoy looking after my livestock, cowdogs, honey bees and enjoy rural life. I have too many irons in the fire and keep myself busy with all my interests (I am a jack-of-all trades, master of none) and work. Most of my spare time is spent doing something with friends outdoors (like chasing my tail on a 4 wheeler, canoe or rock ledge), tending to my critters (you name it and I just about have it), tinkering in the shop (shade tree mechanic, heavy equipment operator, electrician, carpenter and welder), reading, black and white (darkroom) photography or creating artwork (graphite, airbrush, watercolor, oil, acrylic and starting to figure out my wacom tablet). I love my family and respect my parents and friends. I scuba dive, have flown an ultra light, rock climb, and today I was "ghost riding" my tractor loading hay. Maybe I do live a little on the edge.
I am bright eyed and bushy tailed but I do not make time to get online very often. I will get back to you ASAP if you have any questions or comments. I look forward to hear from y'all. Work like a dog, eat like a horse, think like a fox, but play like a rabbit.
